Janab Chaudhary Mohammad Arif

Chaudhary Mohammad Arif, who had taken premature retirement from his job as a senior research officer in the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi, in the mid-1970s, organized delegations of well-placed Muslims from Delhi and brought them to AMU, where PG toppers from different academic streams were invited to Kennedy House for an interaction. As a result, they were motivated to write the UPSC Civil Services Examination.

Subsequently, Janab Arif Sahab organized accommodation, including his own house at Pul Bangash in Delhi, and provided all other required resources for the UPSC Exam aspirants in Delhi.

He had persuaded eminent individuals such as Mufti Atiqur Rahman, Badruddin Tayabji, General Shahnawaz, MWK Yusufzai, Chaudhary Tayyab Hussain, Saiyid Hamid, Sayeedus Shafi, Yusuf Siddiqi, Hakim Abdul Hameed, Justice Hidayatullah, and many others through their good offices and/or financial support (taking advantage of the turn of the Islamic Hijri Century) to secure the allocation of two government bungalows at Lodi Road.
